Butler Bounces Lady Saints in the Green House

The #14 Butler Lady Grizzlies flexed on the Seward Lady Saints Saturday afternoon in the Green House.  Butler handed SCCC a 77-51 loss.  Butler had won 10 of the last 12 games against the Lady Saints.

Butler jumped out to a 21-12 lead and led 21-15 at halftime.  Butler built a lead of 34-21 with 4:38 to play in the second half.  Butler led 44-27 at the half after making 8-12 from three point range in the first half.  Butler led 47-33 at the media timeout of the third quarter.  The lead ballooned to 20 at 56-36 after three.

Seward shot 36 percent from the field and made 8-26 from three and 3-4 from the foul line.  Butler made 21-32 from the free throw line.  BCC was 8-16 from three and shot 45 percent from the field.  Butler out rebounded Seward 39-27.  Seward committed 18 turnovers and Butler had 12.

Kimora Fagan was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 11 points.  Grace Posch scored 11.  Destiny Alexander had 10.  RaMya Kennedy had nine points and six rebounds.

The Lady Grizzlies are 12-1 overall and 6-1 in the Jayhawk.  Seward falls to 10-4 overall and 5-3 in the KJCCC.  Seward plays at Independence January 3 on 1270 and 92.3.
