After going 4-30 last year, the LHS volleyball team already has a win and almost gained a couple more W’s in their opening tournament at Wichita North Saturday.  The Redskins went 1-3 on the day.  Liberal lost to Salina Central 21-25, 13-25.  LHS lost a tight one to Wichita North 20-25, 25-20, 19-25.  Liberal defeated Wichita Heights 26-24, 25-19.  LHS finished the tournament losing to Wichita East 21-25, 13-25.

Miah Janko had 10 kills, 16 digs, three solo blocks, and two aces.  Shamari Lewis had 17 kills and four solo blocks.

Liberal plays Campus and Hutchinson at Hutchinson on Tuesday.
