The Baltimore Orioles selected former Liberal Bee Jay Ethan Frey  in the 3rd round (95th pick) of the MLB draft on Sunday.  Frey is an outfielder from LSU.  He played for the Bee Jays in 2022 for Jim Blair and Jared Mayeda when the Bee Jays went 34-5.  Frey hit .324 that season with four homers, 16 RBI’s, and 13 runs.  Frey had five doubles and one triple.

The Rosepine, Louisiana native is now 6’6″ 225 pounds.  Frey had a breakout junior season hitting .337 with 13 homers, 50 runs batted in over 62 games for the LSU Tigers.
