Lifecare Labs is a new service being offered by the Seward County Health Department.
Lifecare Labs will be a new service offered by the staff at the Seward County Health Department. Clients will schedule their lab draw needs by calling the health department and then come in without a doctor’s order to select from a panel of non-diagnostic lab services. The client will pay by either cash or card, no insurance will be filed.
There will be 1 staff RN who will be performing lab draws and the clerk taking money in the lobby – both positions were budgeted for this year. Quest has contracted with SCHD on the pricing of labs. There is a potential revenue for the health department depending on the volume cared for.
The Commission removed agenda item regarding the purchase of the former Health Department Building located at 103 W. 2nd St. The County will republish it with the legal description then bring it back before the commission.
Commissioners authorize Chair Linenbroker to sign the Kansas WorkforceONE Chief Elected Officials Agreement Renewal and rescheduled the 1st meeting in July to the 5th due to the 4th of July Holiday.
