A Manic Monday for Bee Jays

Brock Kappelmann - July 25, 2017 7:08 am

The Bee Jay bus broke down on the way to Wellington Monday.  The Bee Jays eventually made it to Hibbs-Hooten Field in Wellington to play the Heat.  But not until after their bus broke down in the 97 degree heat Monday afternoon.

The teams played a seven inning game.  The Bee Jays used seven pitchers in what was considered a tune up for the NBC World Series.  The BJ’s actually out-hit the Heat 8-7.  But Liberal had two errors.  Marcus Shoemaker and Cale O’Donnell had two hits a piece.  As for the pitching, Sam Beattie pitched 1 and 2/3, Zach Zeller 1/3, Joe Corbett 1 and 1/3, Thomas Garland 2/3, Ethan Earhart 1, Josh Lallier 1, and Chance Carner 1.

Liberal is 31-13.  They play Wellington again on Tuesday night at 7.  Then return home to prepare for the NBC World Series which will be Saturday at 4 against the Everett, Washington Merchants.
