The Liberal softball team beat Dodge City 21-0 at Legends Park in Dodge City Tuesday evening.  The game went four innings due to run rule.  Dodge committed eight errors and Liberal had one.

Liberal scored three in the first, four in the second, seven in the third, and seven in the fourth.  Haiden Lyon had a monster game going 4-5 with a home run, a double, four RBI’s and three runs.  Rebecca Mclane was 3-4 with a triple, a double, two RBI’s and two runs.  Selena Ontiveros was 2-4 with two doubles and five RBI’s.  Brooklyn Short, Miley Janko, and Vivi Favila added two hits a piece.  Haiden Lyon pitched all four innings with nine strikeouts and two walks.  Liberal out-hit DCHS 17-4.

Liberal is 7-17 overall and 1-9 in the WAC.  Dodge City falls to 5-19 overall and 0-10 in the WAC.  The same two teams play Thursday at 4pm for a double header at the National Beef Sports Complex in Liberal.
