The Seward softball team wrapped up their regular season Saturday in Goodland with a sweep over Fort Hays Tech 8-0 and 17-3.
In game one, Kaitlyn Gonzales tossed a no hitter in an 8-0 win in a five inning run rule game. SCCC used a seven run third on the way to the win. Taylor Harding, Taryn Golden, Ami Perez, and Ella Doxey had two hits a piece. Perez had two doubles. Doxey hit a triple. Golden had a double. Gonzales struck out nine in the no hitter.
In game two, Seward used a nine run second and a six run fifth on the way to the run rule win in five innings. Taylor Harding was 4-5 with four runs. Mya Van Der Mey and Riley Fagan had three hits a piece. Ami Perez added two hits. Alyssa Sharrock, Van Der Mey, and Perez had doubles. Taylor Harding pitched three innings for the win.
Tech is 1-50 and 0-32 in the Jayhawk West. Seward finishes the regular season 19-31 overall and 11-21 in the Jayhawk West. Seward is the seven seed and plays Butler Friday at 2pm at Legends Park in Dodge City.
