Shamari Stands Alone

Shamari stands alone.  Lewis broke Machia Mullens school record for career points with a 26 point game in Liberal class 6A opening round win over Wichita North 59-23 Tuesday night in the Big House.  Lewis has 1,155 points and passes Machia Mullens who had 1,153 points from 2017-2020.  Liberal wins their 10th straight opening round sub state game.

Liberal jumped out  to a lead of 18-2 and led 25-6 after one quarter.  LHS led 34-10 at the half.  Liberal led 57-15 after three.

The Black Hills Energy Player of the Game is Shamari Lewis with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and five steals.  Maliyah Mullens scored 12 points.

Wichita North finishes 6-17.  Liberal is 18-3 and will host Topeka High Friday night at 6pm with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 127o and 92.3 FM.  Topeka upended Maize 69-54 in Topeka Tuesday night.
