The Liberal girls wrestling team competed at an 18 team 6A regional wrestling tournament at Wichita South Saturday.   Liberal qualifies four to state.  LHS finished 9th out of 18 teams.

The Lady Red wrestlers competed this weekend at regionals in Wichita, facing one of the toughest Regional tournaments that included several top 6A ranked teams. Out of 9 wrestlers, Liberal proudly qualified 4 athletes to advance to the state tournament. The girls showed tremendous effort, grit, and determination, with several battling their way to the blood round.

Advancing to State:
105-Genesis Orrantia 5th
115- Alexis Luna 4th
155- Evelyn Sandoval 4th
190- Aileen Figueroa 3rd

The team’s hard work and resilience was evident on the mat, and we are excited to see these athletes represent Liberal at the state tournament.
