480 Board Approves Remaining Bonds to be Used for Carpet Replacements

The USD 480 school board met Monday night.  The board of education approved to use the remaining 400 thousand dollars of bond funds for carpet replacements throughout the schools and upgrades to the fire alarm at Bright Start.  Also, the board voted 3-2 against the ticket booth item for Eisenhower and Seymour Rogers.   The board approved meal price increases.  K-5 lunch will increase from $2.85 to $2.90.  K-5 breakfast goes from $2.00 to $2.05.  6-12 lunch from $2.95-$3.00 and 6-12 breakfast from $2.05 to $2.10.  The board also renewed the property and liability insurance with EMC for 889 thousand dollars.  The next school board meeting is June 24.
