Twenty-one members of the Eisenhower Middle School Warrior Band recently auditioned for the Southwest Kansas Music Educators Association (SWKMEA) Middle School Honor Band. Following a competitive audition process, thirteen students were recognized for their exceptional musicianship.
Eleven students earned seats in the prestigious SWKMEA Middle School Honor Band:
- Mahaley Villa – 6th chair, Flute
- Violet Arellano – 5th chair, Clarinet
- Ayleen Dorado Barrios – 8th chair, Clarinet
- Maryjose Romo – 4th chair, Alto Saxophone
- Pia Bagamano – 3rd chair Trumpet
- Cecilia Holder – 4th chair, Trumpet
- Jose Lopez Batz – 6th chair, Trumpet
- Omar Lizarraga – 10th chair, Trumpet
- Cairo Svaty – 1st chair, French Horn
- Caleb Galindo – 2nd chair, French Horn
- Alexander Aguero Vega – 10th chair, Trombone
Two additional students were selected as alternates:

- Kayden Florence – Tuba
- Tomas Ralios Cortez – Snare Drum
The Eisenhower Warrior Band continues to maintain a full schedule of performances and competitions. Upcoming events include:
- Seymour Rogers Rivalry Game – October 15
- Pet & Spook Parade – October 31
- Fall Band Concert & Toy Drive – December 8 at 6:30 PM in the Eisenhower Middle School Gym.
In November, Warrior Band students will also audition for the Kansas John Philip Sousa Honor Band and the Five-State Honor Band. The community is encouraged to support these young musicians as they continue to represent Eisenhower Middle School in our community and across our state with pride and passion.
