Redskins Bring Home North Cup

The Liberal Redskins look like they are on the road to recovery. Suffering through their worst season, the Redskins appear poised to change that momentum after winning the Wichita North Cup Saturday 1-0 over Wichita East. Misael Gonzalez scored Liberal’s goal and Jason Rios assisted Gonzalez on a corner kick. Liberal led the shots on goal statistic 7-4.

Liberal is 6-7-1 and now turns their attention back to the WAC where they are 1-5. They host Great Bend Monday at 6 p.m. for Senior Night. Seniors will be recognized before the game.
