The Liberal South 7th grade football team traveled to Garden City to take
on Kenneth Henderson. Liberal South got out to a early lead when Santonio
Turner ran the ball in from about 20 yards out on the first possession of
the game. Turner finished the half with 2 Touchdowns and South added
another touchdown from Aldo Hernandez. Liberal South took a 20-0 lead into
the half. In the second half Hernandez and Caesar De La Cruz each scored a
touchdown to wrap up the game. The defense didn’t allow much of anything
all game and ended the game with 2 interceptions. One from Steven Noland
and the other from Aaron Torres.

1. Jose Beltran – 96 yard kick-off return to the start the game.
2. Alex Esparza – two long touchdown passes before the end of the first
half.
3. Alex Esparza – pass interception before the end of the first half to
stop a K.H. drive.
$. Defensive shut out – South stop K.H. twice on 4th down.

Terah Head and Angela Hernandez had great consistent serves to bring us
back into the game and/or win the game for SMS A team.

Ashlynn Brady had a six serve run with serves that brought SMS B team their
first win.

8th South volleyball

Went 2-0 beat Scott City 22-20 and 21-10 and then beat Guymon 21-10, 21-9.  Play at

Hugoton on Saturday.  B team went 1-1.

7th Eisenhower Volleyball

Lady Warriors traveled to Hugoton to play Hugoton and Ulysses Kepley.

7A won against Hugoton first game was 25-19 and second game was 25-14.
Leilani Torres and Maggie McIntyre stepped up big for the Lady Warriors
serving tough.

7A won against Kepley with scores 25-19 and 25-9. Janice Perez started
every game and played front row tough, attacking the ball at the net.
Janice served 9 in a row with 2 aces.

7B played Hugoton and won with the scores 25-13, 25-18.

7B beat Kepley 25-12, 25-10.

Top players for B team were Brianna Sanders, Lesslie Galindo, Ashley Munoz,
and Jazzi Hoffman. Leslie and Ashley both had a kill in the games.

Lady Warriors A improved their record to 3-1. Warriors B improved their
record to 4-0. Warriors travel to Garden on Tuesday to compete against
MSWAC teams.
