LHS Drama Dept. Presents, “Almost, Maine”

LHS Theatre’s Almost, Maine opens October 4th As the temperatures outside begin to drop just a bit, it’s time to chill out and laugh as the LHS Drama Department opens the season with a heartwarming and hilarious look at modern love in the very cold and very small town of Almost, Maine. The production will run October 4- 6 at 7:30 p.m. at James Maskus Auditorium at Liberal High School. Almost, Maine is a worldwide hit and the most-produced play in America during the past two years and was the most produced play in U.S. high schools last year. The New York Times calls it, “… a whimsical approach to the joys and perils of romance. Magical happenings bloom beneath the snowdrifts. .” Almost, Maine” is a fable about the joys and tribulations of love—what it means to win, to keep and to lose love. Reality and magic combine to produce an enchanting and whimsical tale, and I hope that our audiences will feel free to laugh and cry with us.” Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and students, and are available at the door
