Grain Truck Catches Fire South of Liberal

On Monday, March 30th, at approximately 6:41,  a semi-truck loaded with Milo caught fire on Highway 83 south of Exit 11, south of Liberal. The incident prompted a temporary traffic halt while the flames were extinguished by the Turpin Fire Department. Traffic flow resumed in the northbound east lane after hotspots were controlled. Grain was removed from the trailer and transferred to the bar ditch. The highway fully reopened at 9:31 pm.
