Farmers Markets Shoppers Get Added Bonus

KSCB News - September 4, 2015 8:25 am

Shopping at the Liberal Farmer’s Market in September could get you more than fresh produce and delicious home-made baked goods. You could also win a $25 gift card or Chamber of Commerce gift certificate. Every Saturday in September, the Liberal Farmer’s Market will be giving away two of the gift cards or gift certificates.

“Every time you buy something from a vendor at the Farmer’s Market, you will get a ticket to put in a drawing for the two gift cards. The more vendors you buy from, the more entries you have,” said Julie Bunnell, Market Manager. “We will draw for the prizes when the market ends at noon and you’ll be notified if you’ve won and we will arrange to get your prize to you. You don’t have to be present to win.”

Bunnell said the gift cards were donated to help promote the Farmer’s Market and the local vendors. “We start new each Saturday so you have to come and buy to be eligible for the prize that day.”

Prizes include a $25 Chamber of Commerce gift certificate, a $25 Dillons gift card or a $25 Spencer Browne’s gift card.

The market starts at 8 a.m. every Saturday morning and goes until noon. Sponsored by the Liberal Area Coalition for Families, the market is located at the parking lot in the Village Plaza in front of Spencer Browne’s Coffee House.

The web site for the farmers market is www.farmersmarketlk.com. Vendors can also visit the Facebook page, “Farmer’s Market in Liberal, KS,” or contact Bunnell at 620-391-2252 or e-mail [email protected] to sign up for the market or to get more information.
