“Dorothy Gale” To Offer A Babysitting Fundraiser This Weekend

KSCB News - February 22, 2012 3:57 pm

With an invitation from Senator Garrett Love to serve as Pages at the Capitol in Topeka, 12 "Dorothy’s" are raising funds to help offset the costs of the trip. While a tornado transported Dorothy Gale in the movie, "The Wizard of Oz", these Dorothy’s are looking for a little safer journey. With the many things scheduled for this weekend, these Dorothy’s are offering babysitting services both Friday and Saturday nights at The Land Of Oz Museum. Parents are invited to bring their children between the ages of 3 and 11 years of age, to the museum, from 5:30pm until 10:00pm. There will be games, activities, tours, and snacks for the children both nights. Parents are asked to please contact the Coronado Museum/Dorothy’s House, so staff can get a count on how many children to expect. The number to call is 620-624-7624.

In addition to the babysitting, the Dorothy’s are also currently selling "See’s Candy" some of the finest chocolates in the world, and flower bulbs guaranteed to grow or they will replace them at no charge. For more information, again call, 620-624-7624
