The LHS fifth year coach focused on his team’s defense. Liberal allowed just 16 points the rest of the game in a 57-33 win at Gruver Tuesday night.

The Redskins led 38-24 at the half and 48-29 after three quarters.

DeVondre Livingston led Liberal with 12 points while Osvaldo Villareal scored 11. Andre Jackson added nine as 10 Skins scored.

The nephew of former Seward all American Tracy Wynn and current Lady Saint head coach Toby Wynn, Korbin Irwin scored 10 for Gruver and leads the team at 11 points and seven rebounds per game.

The Redskins are 2-2 while Gruver falls to 5-8 and played with only seven players due to injuries.
