A March for WAC Supremacy

"That" Liberal Band will be competing in the WAC Marching Festival on Tuesday, tomorrow, October 18, 2011. The annual Marching Festival is being held at Memorial Field in Dodge City, Kansas. The program starts at 6:30pm with the Holcomb Band and continues with Great Bend, Hays, Garden City and Dodge City. For interested marching band fans and parents, Memorial Stadium is located in the north section of Dodge City off Comanche Street. Patrons are encouraged to park in the south lot and admission fee is $2 for adults and $1 for children.

The LHS Band Marches onto the field at 7:15pm for the performance of their "Grease" Show. Lead characters in the show are Sandy and Danny, as played by Lauren Sarchet and Tim Davis respectively, who have a summer romance which carries over into the school year. They are joined by the characters, Frenchie and Frankie Avalon as played by Robbi Lewis and Luis SanLuis, in a delightful romp thru Rydell High School to the music of "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, " We Go Together," Greased Lightnin," "Summer Nights," Beauty School Dropout," and "Hand Jive."
