Texas County Burn Ban Lifted

– During the weekly Board of County Commissioners meeting, the Texas County Burn Ban was lifted.
Conditions will continue to be monitored and if the need arises, the Texas County Burn Ban will be reinstated at a special or regular meeting called by the Board of County Commissioners.
For now, burning is permitted. Land owners and those in the rural county areas still need to be extremely careful when burning and must notify the Texas County 911 Trust Authority Communications Center on the non-emergency line at 580-468-0915 before burning.
