Rattlers Make the Round of Three in Midwest Regional
08/04/2014

The 13 year old Cimarron River Rattlers are still alive in their quest to win the Midwest Plains Regional.  The Rattlers need to win three games in the next two days.  Liberal plays West Fargo, North Dakota today at 1.  The winner faces Booneville, Missouri in the first championship today at 3:30.  If Missouri wins, they win the championship.  If the Rattlers or West Fargo win, there will be a final championship game tomorrow at 10:30.

The Rattlers beat Boone, Iowa 7-4 Sunday night at Brent Gould Field.  Alex Yanez was the MVP and Elijah McCarter won the WOW award. Sunday afternoon, the Rattlers beat Moorhead, Minnesota 11-8.  Xavier Perez was MVP and Cesar Burciaga won the WOW.  Saturday the Rattlers beat Scottsbluff 18-8.  Burciaga won the MVP and Perez won the WOW.  So the Rattlers after losing Friday night, are 3-1 at the regional and will finish no worse than third.
