Liberal sophomore thrower Maliyah Mullens is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Mullens won the shot put at 34-9.50 and the discus at 103-3 at the Liberal Invitational Friday at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex.  Mullens helped the Liberal girls to win their second straight meet with 158 points.  Mullens also plays basketball and is a member of Liberal High School’s FFA.  Mullens and the track team compete at Laverne on Friday.
