Elkhart, Kan. (Aug. 15, 2022) – Students across the state logged on to their computers today for their first day at Kansas Connections Academy, a tuition free-online public school serving students in grades K-12, to begin the 2022-2023 school year. With ten years of experience operating in Kansas, the school currently serves roughly 1300 students from cities and towns across the state.
Recently, the school received excellent marks from the parents and caretakers of currently enrolled students in its 2021-22 Parent Satisfaction Survey, an annual third-party survey that provides families with the opportunity to review their experience with Kansas Connections Academy. With a flexible, non-traditional learning environment, students are offered a more individualized approach to learning with unique courses that go beyond academics and help develop the necessary skills to prepare students for life after school. Kansas Connections Academy has a dedicated team of educators who are specially trained to support students and set them up for success in a virtual environment. Like many brick-and-mortar schools, Kansas Connections Academy facilitates opportunities for students to connect in person on field trips and through online extracurriculars like clubs and other interest-based activities.
“At Kansas Connections Academy, we work hard to facilitate an environment where every student is empowered to maximize their learning experience and explore their passions,” said Joe Sailors, principal of Kansas Connections Academy. “We’re looking forward to welcoming new students and reconnecting with those returning for another successful year.”
Students head back to school on the heels of the school’s recently released 2021-2022 Parent Satisfaction Survey. According to the survey results:
96% of parents agree their children are satisfied with the program
96% of parents agree their children are making good progress
96% of parents agree that the curriculum is high quality
96% of parents would recommend Kansas Connections Academy to parents whose children are not enrolled in the program
At Kansas Connections Academy, students are encouraged to collaborate with their peers in a supportive, distraction-free learning environment. Enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year is still open. Families interested in Kansas Connections Academy’s flexible virtual learning approach are encouraged to attend an online information session to learn more, ask questions and discover if virtual school is the right fit for their student.
