Early Morning Accident Injures 1 in Cimarron County

An injury accident occurred early Friday morning at approximately 12:32 am on US-287 and E0072 RD, approximately 10 miles north of Boise City, OK,
in Cimarron County.

A 2023 Freightliner driven by David Garza, 57, of Panhandle, TX was stationary at a red light in a construction zone, when a 2015 Freightliner driven by Roberto Salazar, 62, of Saginaw, TX failed to reduce speed and struck the rear of Garza’s semi. Salazar was transported to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, TX. He was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk, arm, and leg injuries. Garza was not injured.
