Liberal junior runner Diego Pavia is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Pavia has won the 400 in all five meets in which the Redskins have participated.  Pavia won the 400 at Hutchinson last week in 50.7 seconds.  His PR came the week before at Haysville when he blazed a 49.9 time in the quarter mile.  He ran the 400 in 50.79 second at Liberal.  He also has run the 200 and PR’d with a 23.03 at Haysville. He teams with Alex Koerner, Chris Marin, and Isacc Erives for a PR of 3:36 at Haysville.  He is also an LHS soccer player and stood out as a midfielder on the right side the the Redskin soccer team this fall.  Pavia and the Redskins compete at Goddard on Friday.
