Liberal senior basketball player Shamari Lewis is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Lewis leads 3-1 Liberal at 15 points and nine rebounds per game.  She was a 1st team all WAC player last year averaging 17 points and 10 rebounds per game.  She was a first team all WAC volleyball player this fall.  She is also involved in golf, NHS, and FCA at LHS.  Shamari is in the All are Welcome club and the Intramural club at LHS.  Lewis is an official for the Liberal Recreation Department and a CNA at the ER at Southwest Medical Center.  Lewis had a 20 point 12 rebound game Saturday when Liberal defeated McPherson 53-48 in Salina.  Lewis and the Lady Red play their first home game Friday night at 5:30 in the Big House against Wichita North.  Redskin Pre-game at 5:15 on 1270 and 92.3.
