Someone unknown to the Seward County Sheriff’s Office is calling people in the area stating he is Sgt. Davenport from the Seward County Sheriff’s Office, telling people they have a warrant for whoever answers the phone, that they can take care of the warrant by paying a percentage out of their bank account. One of the people answering the call, stated they would just go to the Sheriff’s Office and pay the fine. The caller advised NO, they will just arrest you.

Sheriff Ward would like to tell the public,” We will NEVER call you and tell you we have a warrant for you, and to just send money or get Dillons cards or Prepaid gift cards.
