The Cloud Thunderbirds had their way with the Seward County Saints 85-65 Wednesday night at Bryant Gymnasium in Concordia. Cloud made 54 percent of their shots.

Seward jumped out to an 8-0 lead.  Cloud then reeled in a 17-2 run to lead 17-10.  Cloud took a 28-18 lead.  The Thunderbirds led 38-24 at halftime.  The Thunderbirds bolted to a 47-30 lead with 15:23 to play.  The Thunderbirds took a 54-34 lead.  Cloud’s lead ballooned to 24 at 81-57.

The T-Birds out-rebounded the Saints 42-30.  Cloud led points in the paint 52-24.

Cloud is 6-1 and 1-0 in the Jayhawk.  The Saints fall to 5-2 overall and 0-1 in the KJCCC.  It’s Seward’s fifth straight loss at Cloud.  Seward hosts Colby Saturday at 4pm in the Green House airing on 1270 and 92.3.  KSCB is the buyout sponsor.
