Liberal sophomore linebacker Landry Fitzgerald is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Landry registered 12 tackles in Liberal’s 41-17 win over Topeka Seaman on Friday night.  Fitzgerald leads the Angry Red defense with 75 tackles.  He has five tackles for loss.  Fitzgerald has forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles.  He is also a key blocking back for the Redskin offense which rushed for 210 yards against Seaman last week.  Fitzgerald is also involved in wrestling, baseball, track, powerlifting, and FFA.  Fitzgerald and the Redskins host the Salina South Cougars Friday night at 7pm with pre-game at 6pm on 1270 and 92.3.
