TRINIDAD, Colo. – A quick trip to Colorado for Seward men’s soccer was successful as they picked up a 6-1 win over the Trinidad State College Trojans at Central Park on Friday afternoon.

Seward (4-3-0) saw five different Saints get in on the scoring action, never trailing in the game. They outshot the Trojans (1-10-0) 31-7 in the game as they scored a season-high six goals.

A majority of the Saints action was in the first half as they took a 4-1 lead to the locker room. Zahit Garibay scored two first half goals and was joined by Simone Pitale and Chad Haynes scoring goals.

Fernando Moura Filho and Bernardo Moreira tacked on to the lead in the second half.

Garibay now leads the Saints with four goals this season, all of them coming in the last four games. Pitale has three goals which is tied for second most on the team. Haynes, Moura Filho and Moreira each scored their first of the season.

Freshman Tito Livio spent all 90 minutes in goal for Seward totaling three saves on four shots on goal.

The Saints return to conference play next, hosting Garden City on Wednesday at Redskin Field, 8 p.m. start.
