Local Advocates Transform Silence into Strength: Groundbreaking Concert Unites Community Voices

In the heart of our community, a powerful story of resilience is about to unfold. When voices that have been silenced find strength, something extraordinary happens. Join us for an evening that promises to transform pain into hope, as Jordan Mitchell, Drake McCain, and Radleigh Hurn take the stage for the “Silence Isn’t Strength” concert, Saturday, September 27, at 6 p.m., at the Morton County Civic Center in Elkhart, Kansas.

This isn’t just a performance—it’s a movement. A testament to the courage of those who refuse to be defined by their struggles. It all started when Michael Horton, the “Boots n The Ground” behind the scenes, simply said, “We should host a concert.” True to his proactive spirit, Michael personally reached out to Jordan Mitchell. Jordan then went a step further, personally inviting musician Drake McCain to join the lineup, adding even more depth to the event. Meanwhile, volunteer Tara Miller, embodying her motto “Go Big Or Stay Home,” took the initiative to connect with Radleigh Hurn. As the planning proceeded, what began as a simple conversation transformed into a powerful opportunity for change.

Jordan, whose creativity extends beyond the stage, has designed a t-shirt that captures the spirit of our collective journey—a wearable symbol of solidarity and healing.

On the night of the concert, you’ll not only witness incredible performances that speak directly to the soul, but you’ll also have the opportunity to take home a piece of this powerful narrative. T-shirts will be available at the venue, each one a canvas of hope.

We can’t wait to see the region join the movement. Ready to be part of this transformative experience? Tickets are waiting for you online at www.mortoncountycommunitycoalition.org.

Silence isn’t strength. Speaking up, standing together—that’s where true power lies.
