The Gameday Angels run ruled the Liberal Bee Jays 14-4 in seven innings Wednesday night at Double Angel Park in Parker.
The Bee Jays scored two runs on two hits in the first. Matt Bernath began the game with a double off the wall in left. Drew Grego lashed an RBI double to right center. The Angels plated one in the first. The Angels broke the game open with eight in the third to lead 9-2. Jack Ryan scored on a wild pitch in the fourth to make it 9-3. The Angels chased home a fifth inning run to lead 10-3. Landon Bruce lifted a home run over the left field wall in the sixth. The Angels scored four in the seventh for the rune rule win.
The Angels out hit the Bee Jays 15-8. Matt Bernath was Epic Touch Player of the Game going 3-4 with two doubles.
The Angels are 11-12 and win their season series over Liberal 3-2. The B.J.’s are 12-11 overall and 10-11 in the Rocky Mountain. Liberal plays a non league makeup game at Dodge City Thursday night at 7.
