Hat Creek Butchery Donates 10% of May Retail Sales to Meade County Community Foundation, Liberal, KS

Liberal, KS — Hat Creek Butchery, a USDA-inspected beef and pork processor based in Plains,
Kansas, is proud to announce a special initiative for the month of May. Ten percent of all retail
store sales throughout May will be donated directly to the Meade County Community Foundation
(MCCF), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting charitable efforts
across Meade and Seward Counties.

Hat Creek Butchery’s retail location, located at 30 E. Tucker Rd. in Liberal, KS, invites customers to
shop with purpose this May. Every purchase helps strengthen nonprofit organizations serving our
local communities — simply by buying high-quality, locally processed meats.

“We are incredibly excited and honored to partner with Hat Creek Butchery this May!” said
Cheyenne Federau, Executive Director of the Meade County Community Foundation. “Is there a
better way to give back than by purchasing great quality local products you already use and
love, processed right here in our county? We can’t think of anything! A portion of all sales at the
retail store in Liberal will be donated to MCCF to help nonprofits right here in our communities.
The need is extremely high right now to keep our non-profits running, and your support will make
a huge impact!”

Mark West, one of the owners of Hat Creek Butchery, emphasized the importance of the
partnership, stating:

“Meade County is where Hat Creek Butchery began, and we’re proud to give back to the
communities that supported us from the start. Supporting the Meade County Community
Foundation means helping nonprofits across both Meade County and parts of Seward County
where our retail location sits. We’re honored to be part of this effort.”
