Guymon, January 12, 2024 – Memorial Hospital of Texas County (MHTCA) proudly announces the appointment of Emmanuel Barias, MD as Interim CEO, effective January 10, 2024. This marks Dr Barias’ second tenure in this crucial role, with the initial term spanning 2019-2020. On both occasions, Dr. Barias undertakes the responsibility amid challenging circumstances, addressing financial hardships resulting from prior mismanagement.

In 2019, during Dr Barias’ initial term, the hospital witnessed a remarkable transformation under his leadership, achieving profitability and setting a positive trajectory for its future. Emmanuel Barias, MD, a respected community physician at Specialty Clinics of St Anne in Guymon since 2008, brings not only medical expertise but also a deep understanding of the community’s needs.

Beyond the healthcare sector, Dr Manny and his wife are proud owners of several small businesses in the town (Urban Bru Kitchen, Golden Crown, The Blum Event Center, and Harana Medspa) demonstrating a vested interest in Guymon’s overall well-being. This unique perspective positions Dr Barias as a leader attuned to the intricate fabric of the community.

As Interim CEO, Emmanuel Barias, MD is steadfast in the commitment to restoring MHTCA to financial health. Drawing on a foundation of sound fiscal stewardship, strategic vision, and collaborative leadership, Dr Barias aims to propel the hospital towards sustained success.

Memorial Hospital of Texas County is confident that, under Dr. Barias’ guidance, the institution will navigate challenges and emerge stronger, ensuring the continued delivery of exceptional healthcare services to the community.
