KDOT Meeting on Regional Projects Set for Thursday Night

The public is invited to attend a meeting on U.S. 54 expansion in Seward County and other regional projects on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Seward County Activity Center, 810 Stadium Avenue, in Liberal. The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is hosting the event.

KDOT is investing more than $100 million in Seward County highway infrastructure to enhance safety, reduce congestion and support economic growth within the region. There are 12 projects in various stages along U.S. 83 and U.S. 54 including four-lane expansion, passing lanes, pavement preservation and intersection improvements.

A brief presentation will take place at 4:15 p.m. and again at 5:15 p.m. on the construction, changes to access and upcoming projects. KDOT staff will be at the meeting to discuss projects and answer questions. Handouts will also be available.

Information presented at the meeting will also be available online for those who are unable to attend. The public is encouraged to visit the project website at any time to sign-up for important project email updates.
