Changes Coming To US 83 Resurfacing Project

This is the latest from the Kansas Department of Transportation to the resurfacing project along U.S. 83 in Seward County,
The traffic change will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
The overpass bridge will be open to normal traffic. The contractor will relocate the traffic lights north of the bridge. The lights will be relocated between 15th Street and Tucker Road. The northbound lanes will be closed for repairs. We will utilize the southbound and center turning lanes for head-to-head traffic.
On the south side of the bridge, the contractor will close the northbound lane of traffic.
Traffic will remain in the southbound lane and the contractor will move the northbound lane of traffic onto the turning lane while working in the northbound lane between U.S. 54 and 5th Street. Please note this will restrict all the sideroad streets and businesses in this area to right in right out only.
The traveling public should be aware of delays of up to 15 minutes and a reduction of the speed limit.
