Man Injured in Hamilton County Airplane Crash

An airplane crash occurred at approximately 11:38am Thursday morning, a 1/2 Mile Northeast of Syracuse- Hamilton County Municipal Airport. A Superior Culver LFA fixed wing aircraft being flown by Thomas Glotfelty, 64, of Tecumseh Michigan left the Airport and following departure, the aircraft lost power to the engine. Upon trying to return to runway 18, the aircraft stalled and crashed.
Glotfelty was taken to the Hamilton County Hospital with serious injuries.
