Joe Denoyer - March 22, 2022 4:27 pm

LIBERAL, Kan. – Seward County Community College will be holding a town hall meeting on Thursday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in the Showcase Theater.

SCCC President Brad Bennett and staff members will be hosting the meeting to discuss the latest developments in higher education in Seward County. Among some of the topics to be discussed include enrollment and the impact of the college on the community.

The public is encouraged to attend and ask questions of the administrators and staff of how SCCC can best serve the needs of the community.

Bennett will be joined by SCCC Vice President of Student Services Celeste Donovan, vice president of student services; Mike Bailey, outreach coordinator; Amber Jones, dean of industrial technology; Eric Volden, admissions director; and director of PR & Marketing Rachel Coleman, director of public relations and marketing.

This is the first of several town hall meetings to be held throughout the year.

SCCC provides a gateway to career certificates and college for the residents of the High Plains region, starting with high school courses in more than 10 outreach locations, and continuing with in-person, online, full- and part-time courses for degree completion, transfer prep, or even stackable programs with universities so that students can finish a bachelor’s degree without having to relocate.
