Seward County No Longer Reporting Local COVID Numbers

Joe Denoyer - March 4, 2022 3:25 pm

Beginning Monday, March 7, the Seward County Emergency Operations Center and Seward County Health Department will no longer be reporting local COVID-19 testing numbers. This change is occurring statewide and reflects the recent trends in low case numbers and the consolidation of contact tracing by the state. All new cases will be investigated by a central team at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). Individuals who test positive in Seward County will not receive case investigation inquiries from our local health department; they will be contacted by the state. Due to this change, we will no longer report any COVID-19 numbers. If you would like to continue to track COVID-19 numbers, please find the information on the KDHE website. https://www.coronavirus.kdheks.gov/
