LPD Sees Increase In Auto Burglaries

The Liberal Police Department has received an increase in the number of Auto Burglaries in the last two weeks. All of these burglaries have involved entry into unlocked vehicles.

The Liberal Police Department would like to remind the community to always lock your vehicle, and to remove items such as electronics, firearms, purses, or wallets and cash from the vehicle.

Many of these burglaries into unlocked vehicles go unreported if the items stolen are of minimal value. If you find your vehicle has been rummaged through, please contact the Liberal Police Department even if nothing has been stolen. If you see something out of the ordinary please report it to law enforcement.
