Fire in Rural Stevens County

On Friday, January 14th at approximately 12:40pm Stevens County Fire Department was paged to a fire near Rd P and Rd 20.
The fire was actively being worked by the Stevens County Fire Department with mutual aid provided by Seward County Fire Department, Haskell County Fire Department, Kansas Forestry Service, and farmers/other individuals who brought out discs and additional water to help with this fire. Visibility was very minimal due to smoke and blowing dirt.
The fire was contained by 3:45, but units remained on scene to make sure it stayed that way.
