Joe Denoyer - August 20, 2021 11:20 am

Immuno-Compromised
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidance, individuals who are immunecompromised are now recommended to receive a third dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine. In order
to qualify, an individual must have received his or her second dose at least 30 days prior to
getting this third dose. If you are immune-compromised and would like to receive your third
dose, please contact the Seward County Health Department (620) 309-2073 to schedule an
appointment.

General Population
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidance, the general public will be able to
receive a third dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine beginning September 20, 2021. In order to
qualify, an individual must have received his or her second dose at least 8 months prior to getting
this third dose. The third dose will be the same as your two previous, either Moderna or Phizer.
There is no need to contact the Health Department about scheduling this third dose yet. More
information will be shared prior to the September 20 start date.

TESTING LOCATIONS
Do not hesitate to get a COVID test. Rapid PCR tests are available through the Seward County
Health Department testing site as well as several local pharmacies and clinics. Please contact
your local provider for their hours of operation or visit the drive-up testing location.

GOOD HYGIENE
As mask recommendations resume and positive case counts continue to rise, we must remember
the most critical lessons from the pandemic. Avoid contact with others if you are sick. Wash
your hands frequently, especially when you are in heavily trafficked areas outside of your home.
