Liberal City Commission Meets, Approves Permit for Skating Rink

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening at 5:30pm and approved a Special Use permit for a Skating Rink, arcade, and other amenities to go into the old Schwans Building on General Welch Blvd.

Commissioners also approved 2 Change orders for the Second Street project, and set a date and time for a Hearing for Venture Kansas LLC’s request for a CID for a portion of the Liberal Plaza Area.  The Hearing is set for July 13th at 5:30pm.

The City Commission also approved a Change of Use Order for the former Weatherford property as it has been sold to USD 480 and accepted a private donation of $12,720.00 and then approved using the donation to purchase tables and chairs for the Mary Frame park Building and the Blue Bonnet Community building.
