Overpass column repair to begin in Haskell County

Crews are expected to begin repairs on Monday, Sept. 28, to a U.S. 83/K-144 overpass column located on U.S. 83 in Haskell County, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. The project will repair a concrete column, which was damaged from a previous incident on U.S. 83.

All work is expected to take place east of the highway and should not impede traffic.

PBX Corporation of Sapulpa, Okla. is the contractor on this $50,000 project, which is expected to be completed in November, weather permitting.

For more information on this project, contact Craig Schlott, Construction Engineer, at (620) 765-7096, or Lisa Knoll, KDOT District 6 Public Affairs Manager, at (620) 260-6397.
