Joe Denoyer - September 14, 2020 5:05 pm

The Seward County Sheriff Office responded to the intersection of 8th Street and Highway 54 on Friday, September 11th, 2020 at approx. 2:03 pm. A 2008 Honda Accord, driven by Miguel Perez-Gabriel of Guymon Oklahoma, struck the guard rail to a railroad signal while making a left hand turn off of Highway 54 to turn onto 8th street in Liberal. The vehicle struck the guard rail with enough force to get pushed onto the railroad tracks causing the railroad traffic to halt.  The driver admits being late for work and being in a hurry. The driver was cited for reckless driving and no driver’s license.
The Sheriff Office would like to remind everyone to slow down and be careful while driving.
