Resurfacing to Begin on Highway 54 in Seward County Monday

U.S. 54 resurfacing project to begin in Seward County

Crews are expected to begin a resurfacing project on U.S. 54 in Seward County on Monday, Aug. 24, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. The project will extend from 3.9 miles the west Liberal city limit to the Oklahoma state line.

Motorists should expect minor delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane in the work zone.

J & R Sand of Liberal is the contractor on this $1.2 million project, which is expected to be completed in September, weather permitting.
