Guymon Man Killed in Beaver County Crash

A fatality collision occurred Friday evening July 31st, at 5:14pm on US 412 and County Road 124, approximately 17 miles south and 2.2 miles east of Turpin, Oklahoma in Beaver County.

A 2007 Nissan Quest being driven by Emanuel Alvarez Alonzo, 23, of Guymon OK,was traveling east on US 412 while a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Ronald Henry Balzer, 78 of Broken Arrow, OK was traveling west also on US 412. The Alonzo vehicle for an unknown reason went left of center and struck the Balzer vehicle.

Alonzo was ejected approximately 155 feet to the east and 5 foot south of area of impact. Balzer was pinned for approximately 25 minutes extracted by Balko Fire Department.

Alonzo was pronounced dead at the scene with head, trunk internal and trunk external injuries, by M.E. Investigator Juanita Galindo. He was transported
by Clark Funeral Home to Clark Funeral Home in Beaver, Oklahoma.

Balzer was transported by Perryton Texas EMS to Ochiltree General Hospital in Perryton, Texas then later transferred to Northwestern Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. He was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk and arm injuries.

A passenger in the Balzer vehicle, Hijuana J Balzer, age 75 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma was transported by Perryton Texas EMS to Ochiltree General Hospital in Perryton, Texas then later transferred to Northwestern Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.

She was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injury.

Seat belts were not in use by either driver, but we’re in use by the passenger in the Balzer vehicle.
