Texas County Burn Ban Rescinded, for Now

On July 20th, during the weekly Texas County Board of County Commissioners meeting, the Texas County Burn Ban was lifted.
Conditions will continue to be monitored and if the need arises, the Texas County Burn Ban will be reinstated at a special or regular meeting called by the Board of County Commissioners.
For now, burning is permitted. Land owners and those in the rural county still need to be extremely careful when burning and please notify the Guymon Fire Department at 580-338-5536 before burning. The Guymon Fire Department will then notify the appropriate agencies.
