Liberal Police Conduct Community Walk

Joe Denoyer - July 3, 2020 8:26 am

On Thursday evening, the Liberal Police Department conducted a community walk with the aim of better relations with local residents. ”This is the first of many walks we have planned in neighborhoods,” Police Chief William Cutshall said. “The purpose of the neighborhood walks are to provide citizens a contact within the department for issues in their area and encouraging them to call the police if needed. This also gives residents a chance to meet the officers who work their area,” Cutshall added.

In addition to the neighborhood walks, the department has recently began a number of community policing projects that includes daily walk throughs of businesses, monthly community group meetings and meetings with local businesses in order to decrease thefts
