K-51 project to begin in Morton County

Crews were expected to begin an overlay project on K-51 in Morton County on Tuesday, June 9, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. Crews will begin the overlay at the Kansas/Colorado state line and continue east to the south K-27 junction. Traffic will be reduced to one lane guided by a pilot car in the work zone.

APAC-Shears of Hutchinson is the contractor on this $686,000 overlay project, which is expected to be completed in June, weather permitting.
